I love my mom dearly. However, her fingers seem to have a mind of their own. Especially on Facebook.
So today, I'm checking status updates, and I notice one from my mom. And I seriously almost peed my pants from laughing.
"not sure how much i will be able to do here today Ansley is in my lap and she had 4 boob shots today so bear with us..."
Ansley went to the doctor today and had 4 shots. 4 BOO BOOS.
But, no. To my mother? Boob shots.
Could you ask for anything else?

What's the deal?
So, I've recently realized that some of my readers may have wondered this way in hopes of finding a blog about cooking with soy, and all the wonderful things you can do with it.
And, by now, you're probably so confused (if you are even still reading), and just keep sticking around because "I know she's going to mention SOMETHING. I just know it!" It's that whole too-far-in-to-turn-around scenario. I've got it. I follow.
Others of you think I am completely brilliant, coming up with such a genius play on words. Which is exactly what I've done. I'm not going to go into detail, but know that if you truly knew the story, you would want to be my bff for the awesomeness my blog title exudes.
I'm so sorry if you are disappointed, but I have never cooked with soy, and can't say that I ever intend to (except, maybe the occasional soy sauce. But, even then, I'd have to figure out what it is good for). You can turn around now. It's not about soy.
Sorry for the confusion.

You Little Pig
My daughter has decided she is better suited as a pig.
Not because she is fat. Not because she eats a lot (though that is true).
She has learned to snort. And she does it ALL.THE.TIME. She crinkles her little nose, and starting laughing so hard, she snorts. Which makes her laugh more.
I'm just waiting for the milk to come out her nose. If she's anything like her momma, it's bound to happen.
Not that I know about milk coming out of my nose. Dr. Pepper is another story.

A Brighter Day.
Yesterday was pretty stinky too, for many of the same reasons as the day before.
But, today, when I arrived at my office, a coworker shared a glorious video with me. My face hurt I was laughing so hard. And I may have possibly peed my pants just a little. So, take a look-see.

And then, after that beauty was shared, we got to enjoy this little ditty.
I know, I know. The last couple of posts on my baby blog have not really been about the baby at all. But we all need a little break from the norm, and these were simply too funny not to pass on.
Thank you to the guy who spotted the vibrant beauty across the sky, and the subsequent upload to YouTube. And another thanks to the rockin' song that followed.
I hope your day is as beautiful as a double rainbow across the sky! ::snort, chuckle::

Ahh, innocence.
Most times, I totally love my job. I love feeling like I'm actually making a difference in the lives of students. I love teaching things that they care to learn about, rather than quadratic equations.
Most days are good. For me, bad days at work mean that I have a quiet class. And even on those days, typically there is at least one class that interacts.
For the curious ones out there, I am a "risk-avoidance" educator. Basically, I get paid to talk about sex. All.Day.Long.
We teach abstinence. Not just from sexual activity, but all risky behaviours such as alcohol, tobacco and drugs.
This post isn't to argue about safe sex vs. abstinence, but, rather to share in the innocence of my students.
Many times, I have to actually turn away to avoid laughing at their questions. Sometimes, I don't even make it all the way around before losing it. It's a topic that the students are curious about, and more times than not, they have no idea what the truth of the matter is.
So, sit back, grab some goodies (I suggest double stuf oreos or half baked ice cream), and enjoy some conversation from my students.
"I heard if you eat salad, it will kill your baby." -Girl, 7th grade
"So, when you eat an egg, are you performing a chicken abortion?" -Boy, 7th grade
"How do doctors do abortions? Do they just hit the woman on the stomach with a big hammer?" -Boy, 7th grade
"So, if the baby can hear inside the womb, should you be careful not to say cuss words around the stomach?" -Boy, 9th grade
"I think women are like fine wines. I want to sample each one." -Boy, 9th Grade
"Is that why babies speak babble first? Because they can't clearly hear in the womb?" -Girl, 9th Grade
"So, you're telling me there's absolutely no way for a boy to have a baby?" -Boy, 6th grade
"If someone has an STD then they're a hippie?" -Boy, 7th grade
"My dream is to never get married and have 50 cats." -Girl, 6th grade
"Is Brett Favre your husband?" -Boy, 7th grade
"Wait. What's abstakence?" -Boy, 7th grade

Are you kidding me?
Do these people on American Idol really think they can sing?
You are kidding me.
I'm going to wake my kid up cause I'm laughing so hard.
He is crying.
Epic Fail.
